Day 1
Seoul to Naksansa Temple
Begin the journey at Seoul Dongbu Bus Terminal, easily reached by public transportation or taxi, for a pre-arranged direct bus to Naksansa Bus Terminal, a smooth three-hour ride to the serene coastal region. On arrival, a short 15-minute walk leads to the temple grounds. Arrive at Naksansa Temple, an iconic spiritual retreat overlooking the East Sea, and check in with an introduction to temple etiquette, followed by a guided tour of the temple's historic grounds, steeped in over a millennium of Buddhist tradition. Dinner features wholesome vegetarian temple cuisine, reflecting the simplicity and mindfulness of monastic life, and the evening continues with an atmospheric chanting service. Retire to shared accommodation with ondol-style sleeping mats, a traditional Korean bedding arrangement. Overnight at Naksansa Temple.

Naksansa Temple to Seoul
