From there, wind down with three unhurried days on the beach at Khao Lak, with time to relax, explore and set your own pace before flying onward from Phuket.

The route in detail
Day 1
Arrival and Cycling Khao Sok
Meet your guide at Surat Thani Railway Station this morning for the transfer into the rainforest of Khao Sok National Park, arriving at a jungle lodge tucked into the lush greenery. Check in and take some time to settle in, with lunch served at the lodge. In the afternoon, set out on a cycling tour through Khao Sok's countryside, riding along quiet country roads with plenty of stops for photos and wildlife spotting along the way. Since the lodge sits in a valley, the route stays largely flat, with jungle-covered peaks rising all around, an awe-inspiring backdrop for the ride. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for dinner. Overnight in Khao Sok.
Day 2
Elephants and a Jungle Hike
After breakfast, spend the morning at the Elephant Bathing and Feeding Experience, a gentle, low-impact hour spent feeding and bathing an elephant, a genuinely close encounter that supports the ethical upkeep of these animals rather than working them. Return to the lodge for lunch, then head to the Khao Sok National Park headquarters for a short briefing before an afternoon hike along the park's main dirt track, winding through bamboo forest, old-growth trees and towering strangler figs, with a chance of spotting dusky langurs, long-tailed macaques, hornbills and more. The pace is easy enough for most fitness levels, with occasional detours down to the Sok River for a refreshing dip if conditions allow (expect some basic scrambling over rocks and tree trunks along the trail). Overnight in Khao Sok.
Day 3
Onward to Khao Lak
After breakfast, transfer to Khao Lak, where your guided touring comes to an end and the rest of the trip is spent at leisure by the beach. Overnight in Khao Lak.
Day 4
Free Day in Khao Lak
Spend the day at leisure, with time to enjoy the resort, the beach and Khao Lak's restaurants and shops at your own pace. Overnight in Khao Lak.
Day 5
Free Day in Khao Lak
Another day free at leisure to relax by the beach or explore Khao Lak independently. Overnight in Khao Lak.
Day 6
Departure
After breakfast, transfer with an English-speaking guide to Phuket Airport for your onward flight.
