Day 1
Arrival & Amanwana
Arrive at Sultan Muhammad Kaharuddin III Airport in Sumbawa Besar, where an Aman representative will meet the group for the drive to Amanwana's private jetty. From there, a waiting vessel escorts guests on a 45-minute cruise into the resort's secluded sanctuary. Moyo Island has been a nature reserve since 1976 and was designated a national park in 2022, protecting its stunning landscapes and diverse marine life. Overlooking the turquoise waters of Amanwana Bay, a protected marine park, the resort offers full-board accommodation in just 15 luxury tents and access to some of the best diving and snorkeling in Indonesia. Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure, adjusting to the tropical climate, with lunch and dinner served at the resort. Overnight in Moyo Island.
Day 2
Resort Leisure, Sunset Cruise & Sumbawanese Dinner
Spend the day at leisure enjoying the resort's facilities and in-house activities, including paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling around Amanwana beach, cycling and trekking poles. In the late afternoon, leave the resort at 4pm aboard the traditional wooden outrigger Aman XIV for a classic sunset cruise. Order drinks and canapés and take in the sights and sounds of the jungle as the sun sets over Moyo Island. Return to the island as the sun goes down for Bakela, meaning 'sharing from one platter' in the local language. Featuring local dishes from siong sira to singang, this special dinner is a celebration of diverse Sumbawanese cuisine, served picnic-style on low tables and mats and surrounded by flickering lanterns, with a traditional dance performance available to arrange. Day 3
Forest Trail to Mata Jitu Waterfall
Set off on a half-day forest trail experience, combining a traditional boat journey, a four-wheel-drive ride and a leisurely trek through Moyo's dense jungle and striking landscape. Deep in the tropical forest at the centre of the island, discover Mata Jitu Waterfall, a series of cascading limestone pools fed by natural springs, offering a refreshing swim away from the heat of the day. Return to the resort for a leisurely lunch at noon, with the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Moyo Island.
Day 4
Whale Sharks at Saleh Bay & Wellness
Leave the resort at dawn, around 4am, to catch the sunrise over Mount Tambora. Board a dedicated Amanwana speedboat for a relaxing two-hour cruise to Saleh Bay, with a gourmet breakfast prepared by the resort's chefs and served on board. Enter the calm waters of the bay with an experienced guide for an unforgettable encounter with whale sharks, the largest living non-mammalian vertebrate on the planet. Despite their size, these gentle giants are safe to swim alongside as they roam around the boat and a traditional bagan fishing vessel; guests who prefer not to swim can still observe them from the boat. Return to the resort by midday for a leisurely lunch. In the late afternoon, experience a traditional wellness journey harnessing nature's power, with a 120-minute after-sun treatment to gently calm sun-warmed skin. Overnight in Moyo Island.
Day 5
Departure
Enjoy breakfast and check out of the resort, then proceed to the private jetty for a 45-minute cruise back to Sumbawa Besar. An Aman representative will meet the group and assist with the private transfer to the airport for the onward flight.
